Bristol Tutor Company is proud to be a part of the MME group that is a DfE-Approved tuition provider for the National Tutoring Programme. Only schools and subject teachers can enrol students for this programme. MME offers NTP tutoring for all of the core subjects and is targeting GCSE aged students currently.If you are interested in your child getting some extra support, the course may be fully funded through their school so we advise contacting them directly and making an enquiry.
What is the National Tutoring Programme?
The NTP is a government initiative which aims to help schools fund tuition to improve their students’ academic capabilities. It was firstly introduced to aid those who have been negatively affected by the pandemic but has since been extended due to the effectiveness of tuition.
How does the NTP funding work?
The funding allocated to each school is £162 per pupil eligible for Pupil Premium. This can be spent on any student as part of the NTP. The funding is released 3 times throughout the year, September, December and April. Schools can claim 60% of the tuition cost up to a maximum of £18 per hour per student.
Is the NTP tuition online or in person and is it in groups?
There are many options when it comes to tuition.Typically the 1-2-1 method is the most common but is more expensive than the group sessions.
